Content Manager

As a Digital Content Manager, you will use your advanced knowledge of web and mobile communication strategies to help our client meet their strategic goals. You will be a significant contributor to large digital projects, informing the overall approach, budget and timeline. You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires great attention to detail and the ability to maintain a positive relationship with clients. You must enjoy great linguistic skills in Arabic and English, using proper grammar and applying creative writing methodologies.


  • Serve as the primary client liaison for digital content-related tasks and activities on a day-to-day basis

  • Lead digital media management, including website, email subscription services, social media channels, and public inquiry response

  • Develop and manage project schedules using project management tools, keeping management apprised of progress, changes, and potential obstacles

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of content producers, web developers, and strategists to determine type, quality and quantity of content needed for digital channels

  • Delegate and manage project tasks among a team of content producers and editors

  • Edit/proofread digital health and science content, including webpages as well as online products such as newsletter articles, fact sheets, press releases, leadership messages, feature stories, and social content and incorporating best practices and ensuring consistent voice

  • Ensure all deliverables are quality and free of errors

  • Contribute knowledge about content strategy to the team’s overall digital strategy, including identifying needs and proposing solutions

  • Support special projects on an as-needed basis

Plus Skills

  • Experience working in a government contracting environment

  • Knowledge of web content strategy and best practices, including SEO and metrics analysis

  • Experience working in Drupal and Joomla

  • Basic knowledge of HTML

  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and remediation

  • Experience working with creative and graphic design teams

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Arabic, communications, journalism, or related field, or other bachelor’s degree with equivalent relevant work experience

  • Five to seven years of experience, at least three of which include managing editorial projects, websites, and social media content

  • Superb client management and customer service skills, including producing clear, error-free correspondence and the ability to articulate strategies and solutions in meetings

  • Experience writing and editing IT content for a variety of audiences and outlets

  • Ability to work comfortably under pressure and to organize, track, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines, including development of project schedules and timelines

  • Understanding of content strategy and familiarity with web and digital writing best practices.

  • Ability to learn quickly, to respond/react quickly to changing priorities, and to be dedicated to completing all tasks

  • Familiarity with plain language, web content best practices, and use of editorial style guides

  • Ability to solve problems quickly and creatively

  • Experience using content management systems to update website content

  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
